The "Plugin for ODF 1" file permits the localization of ODF parts containing the following resource types:
FWab About box
FWdw Document window
FWft Font
FWmb Menu bar
FWpr Part info
FWst String
FWSv "Save As" info
FWvl View layout
MSTR Multi-string
To install the plugin, just drag it to your ResEdit folder. If you're localizing parts created with ODF 2, use the "Plugin for ODF 2" file instead. Once you've done this, ResEdit will automatically find the plugin and use the definitions in the plugin file to enable parsing and editing of ODF resource data.
To localize parts containing view layouts with custom view types, you'll need specialized Exploder and Viewer Definition Language (EDL and VDL) code that recognizes the custom types. The developer of the part should provide customized EDL/VDL code along with the part. Directions on how to customize the code in the plugin can be found in the "Notes for Developers" file.
For more information, see the ResEdit documentation.
